Please take a moment to review the conference rules.
The THUNDERBYTE conference is for the exchange of information regarding the
operation, applicability, and availability of Thunderbyte products.
The following is *NOT* allowed in this conference:
o Messages in any other language than ENGLISH.
o Messages unrelated to the topic of this conference (including discussions
of other anti-virus products).
o Messages with a derogatory, insulting, discriminating, racist or
sexist content.
o Messages attesting to the authenticity of a file/product (or its
contents) unless granted permission by the author or agents for that
file/product.
o Bashing of *ANY* product - Thunderbyte or otherwise.
o Political or religious discussions.
o Private communications. All messages are supposed to be publicly
readable. Use NETMAIL for personal messages.
o Commercial messages. Availability announcements for Thunderbyte products
are okay, but orders will not be accepted here.
o Using false names when posting messages in this conference. Each user's
real name must be used when posting (not just signing). We all like to
know who we are dealing with.
o Descriptions to build viruses. This includes methods and techniques,
source code, disassemblies or other detailed info that could be used to
make a variety of an existing viruses or a new virus. This includes
asking, offering or exchanging viruses via this area.
o Unfounded accusations of virus making or virus distribution against
people or organizations (i.e. no messages stating "Jeff did it").
o Flames and personal insults. We've seen too much BS in other conferences
due to personal flames... please let's keep this pollution out of -our-
area...
The following items *ARE* allowed and ENCOURAGED:
o General information about the proper usage of Thunderbyte products.
o Questions about the technical operation, availability and cost of
Thunderbyte products.
o Virus warnings and news about newly discovered viruses. Please be
sure not to violate any copyrights when you post information from
other sources (press, radio, TV and other networks).
o Descriptions of and experiences with Thunderbyte products, though bashing
of ANY product -- Thunderbyte or otherwise -- is expressly forbidden.
o Reports on virus infections, how you discovered it, what you did to
get rid of the virus and how you saved your data (or not...).
Please keep this conference on topic, business-like and informative!
Note: Leave moderating to the moderator. If you feel you should flame
or otherwise chastise someone, do so by NETMAIL. If you do not agree
with a decision of the moderator, discuss the issue VIA NETMAIL with
the moderator.
